Want to keep track of all your hit cocktail recipes? or even better, create new ones to use ingredients you have sitting around? Welcome to Cellarbase Drink Manager. Adding drinks here will enable them to be ordered by your guests on the Guest Order page.
Prerequisites
Before we get started, make sure you’ve completed the Setup Wizard. Also, ensure you have added your Products/Bottles to inventory so we have something to make drinks with.
Adding an Existing Drink Recipe
If you have an existing recipe that you want to add to Cellarbase. Simply hit the Add New Drink button in the top right corner of the My Drinks page.
This will open up a page where you can enter the drink’s details.
Name: Drink Name, this is visible to guests when the order it.
Drink Code: A unique identifier for you to keep track of this drink, not shown to guests. For example, you may have “GT_TNQRY” and “GT_BMBY” for different G&T varieties.
Description: A short description for you to highlight the ingredients or story behind a drink. This is visible to guests on your menu.
Category: Select from Beer, Wine, Cocktails, or Other. This will categorize the drink on the guest menu. Custom options are not currently available.
Mark as Special: This will highlight this drink at the top of the menu with a more elaborate tile, to bring it to the attention of guests as a “Featured” menu item.
Ingredients (optional): Here you can select which Products in your inventory are used to create this drink. This is not visible to guests. If any of the ingredients go “out of stock” from your inventory, this drink will go “out of stock” and be unavailable for ordering.
Preparation Instructions: This is where you can specify how to craft your drink, the information is not visible to customers, but will be visible on the Order List page when new orders come through, so you can see the instructions as you prepare a drink.
Image: Optionally add a guest-facing image to show off your drink.
Create a Drink with AI
Have some ingredients you’ve been wanting to use up? or not feeling very creative and need some help? Use our “Create with AI” feature.
On the My Drinks page, hit Create with AI in the top right corner.
- First, you’ll be asked to select the ingredients to use in this cocktail. We’ll try use all of them, along with common mixers, syrups, and bitters.
- Next, you’ll be prompted to select some characteristics for the drink, maybe “Bubbly, Fruity and Tropical” or “Rich, Complex and Spirit-Forward”
- Finally, we’ll confirm what we’ve got. You can also add some notes to give us more info on what you’re looking for – world is your oyster here, maybe “Make it strong”, “Inspired by the West Coast”, or “Try incorporate Orange Juice”
- Our system will then try create the cocktail for you – results may vary based on the ingredients you provide!
By default, the drink will be disabled and unavailable for ordering. If you like what the AI has created, you can click Enable on the drink page, allowing your guests to place an order.
You can customize the drink (or add a custom image) but hitting “…” on the drink page and clicking Edit
