FAQ
We have the answers.
I’m trying to add a bottle, but it’s not in your database.
We’re working to build out our database, but it’s by no means complete just yet – thanks for bearing with us! Thankfully, you can help us build it out using our Product Wizard. This tool, found on the Add Bottle page, allows you to add missing products to our database, and your collection. Note that products added to the database are shared across all users, and are not personal to your account.
I’ve found an inaccuracy in a product’s information
Good catch! On the Product Page, click the “…” and click “Report and Error”. Add as much detail as you can, then our team will take it from there for the correction. Thanks for the feedback!
Can I upload my own image for a product?
At this time, our platform will use an integrated image search function that allows you to select an applicable image upon product creation. Custom images for products are not yet supported..
I accidentally Opened or Depleted a bottle, can I close it again?
Yes! If you accidentally depleted a bottle, hit the “…” on the bottle page and click “Reset State” this will mark the bottle as New again and clear your open/depleted dates. If you accidentally opened a bottle, mark it as depleted, then follow the above step.
What’s the difference between a Product and a Bottle?
Great question! A Product is a particular liquor or wine that is on the market, think a unique SKU (for example, Monkey 47 Gin, 750ml).
A Bottle is a specific unit of that product, for example “my 750ml Monkey 47 Gin that’s down in the Wine Cellar”. You can have multiple bottles of a single product (maybe one is in the Wine Cellar and one is in Storage), and Cellarbase makes it easy to keep track of them all.

What is a Collection? How about a Location?
A Collection is a group of bottles that you can organize however you wish! For example, you might have a collection for “Cheap Stuff” and a collection for “Top Shelf”, you can create them to categorize your bottles however you’d like. By default, you have one collection, called “My Collection”, but you can add as many new ones as you’d like.
A Location is a place that you keep you bottles, you can get as granular as you’d like here. You may have “Wine Cellar” or “Home Bar”, or you can get super detailed and create “Wine Cellar, Shelf 3”. By default you have one location, called “Home”. You’ll also notice some default system collections that appear as you use Cellarbase, Recycle Bin (where depleted bottles go) and Gifted Away (where bottles you’ve marked as Gifted go).

Can I implement payment for my Menu Interface?
No – Cellarbase is strictly built for the home bartender and is not intended for commercial use. Ordering is a fun way to host your friends and enjoy drinks, but should not be used in a commercial setting.
